Moorcroft get stuck in at Stick ‘n’ Step

After a request for help from the URENCO team to get a new centre up and running for the Stick n step Charity which Supports Children and Young People with Cerebral Palsy, and their families. Moorcroft mobilised a team to assist.

URENCO’s Mark Phillips who looked after the project said:

“I would like to thank you and Moorcroft for all of the time and assistance you generously gave towards works at Stick ‘n’ Step, Runcorn.

All the lads, Frank, Lewis, Dennis and George were great; getting so much done in such short space of time. The work Moorcroft has carried out has made a real difference, certainly to the aesthetic of the site and more importantly your works have addressed some of the real safety concerns that the guys at Stick ‘n’ Step had with the Runcorn site: issues that they did not have the expertise or the funding to address.

I am confident that I speak for both Urenco and Stick ‘n’ Step in saying a big thank you for helping to make a real difference for such a great charity.”

Well done to all of our lads for going the extra mile!

New Apprentice for Moorcroft

After joining the operations team as a general operative, 19 year old Lewis Williams from South Wirral has signed up for a 2 year Carpentry Apprenticeship through the CITB.

Lewis will attend Cheshire West College on day release, and will work, amongst others, at The URENCO Capenhurst Site.

Linda Richardson The CITB Construction Skills Apprenticeship Officer seen here with Lewis commented “It is great to see Local Companies offering opportunities for young people to get into education and training”

Myles Platt, Managing Director added “Lewis has already attained his CSCS card through the CITB and has impressed the operations team with his attitude and ability. We are delighted to offer the opportunity.  The combination of securing framework agreements and contracts with a number of key clients and support from the Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub means that we are confident in offering opportunities for young people like Lewis.”
